Mixing & Mastering Tip #163 ·
Using SoundSource 5 for monitor correction instead of Sonarworks
This is an app that not many people know about, but some of you can find it very useful. That’s why I decided to share it.
SoundSource 5 is more than just a sound controller: it allows you to use Audio Unit plugins directly on your sound devices or on apps (like DAWs).
That opens so many possibilities.
An alternative to Sonarworks
I often recommend it as an alternative to Sonarworks.
You can add any EQ of your choice between your DAW and your sound card, so you don’t need to always remember to turn off EQs or correction plugins before exporting your song.
By the way, this is not sponsored. It’s just stuff I find useful and want to share.
Want this on your own track?
I master more than 1,000 songs a year for artists and labels, from stems or a stereo mix. Send me your track and I'll tell you what it needs.
